![]() | On November 6, 2024, the Ghana Pipeline Project reached another milestone by completing the cleaning of a key pipeline section. This section presented significant challenges due to debris identified beforehand, including a drill bit and saddle plate lodged during previous operations conducted by another service provider. The client had informed us of this issue and provided photographic evidence before the cleaning process. |
Recognizing the risks posed by these obstructions, our team conducted thorough assessments and implemented a robust action plan. The primary concern was avoiding additional blockages during cleaning. To mitigate these risks, we chose to deploy high-quality foam pigs, known for their flexibility and ability to navigate challenging pipeline conditions without becoming stuck. The operation required meticulous preparation, including detailed risk analysis, tool calibration, and close monitoring during the cleaning process. Despite the complexity, the foam pigs performed exceptionally, safely removing the drill bit and saddle plate, also ensuring the pipeline’s integrity was maintained. | ![]() |
This success highlights our proactive risk management approach and commitment to delivering innovative solutions for complex pipeline challenges. As we continue with subsequent phases of the project, we remain dedicated to maintaining high safety standards and ensuring reliable pipeline operations. |
